Rising Star has been busy! We rode and met for unmounted meetings all summer, went down to Sandia Creek Ranch for a cross-country clinic, participated in a Model Horse Rally, the Standards and Ratings Clinic and the annual Fundraiser Show. Last week we hosted a saddle fitting clinic and lesson. The clinician, Tiffany Silverman was very knowledgeable and worked with the girls learning how to properly fit a horse or pony with a saddle. They dismantled an old saddle and got to see how saddles are made and the difference between saddles flocked with wool and foam. After that, the girls created their dressage musical for the Holiday show in Norco. This weekend we have another practice scheduled. Our theme is "Here Comes Santa Clause" complete with 4 reindeer pulling Santa in a sleigh.
